FANTAELX ACTIVITIES IN SCHOOLS AND EDUCATIONAL CENTRES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

Increasingly, children and young audiences are becoming more and more important in the context of film festivals. Elche International Fantastic Film Festival – FANTAELX echoes this, also within its orbital actions. The organisation of the festival is made up of teachers and researchers from the Miguel Hernández University of Elche dedicated to training in the audiovisual medium, in which they also practice their profession. All this converges in bringing the festival closer to the classrooms and the university students who participate as audience and collaborator through the creation, training and development within this field and from an eminently educational and informative approach.

Starting from this pedagogical base, the festival makes the leap from the university to the institutes and educational centres for children and young people to promote, in the same way, the realisation of actions offered around the fantastic, including the screening of audiovisual works, colloquiums, debates, etc., as well as training students to learn how the audiovisual processes of the genre are created and developed from an artistic and technical approach.
